Jammu, Dec 28 : Three militants were killed in a brief encounter that broke out in Sidra area of Jammu district on Wednesday morning, police said here.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that encounter broke out in Sidra area today morning following specific input about the presence of militants in the area.

He said during the ensuing encounter three unidentified militants were killed, while searches were still going on.

Meanwhile, additional director general of police Jammu division, Mukesh Sing said they noticed unusual movement of a truck & followed it.

“Truck was stopped at Sidhra where driver managed to flee. When the truck was searched militants hiding inside, fired on the personnel, which was retaliated to,” he said.

He further said the encounter was over and 2 to 3 militants were there. “They were heavily armed but have been neutralised,” he said—(KNO)
