Kulgam Encounter: 01 militant killed, Search operation on

Srinagar, September 26: One militant has been killed in an encounter at Batpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.

Official sources told GNS, that one militant has been killed in an encounter, however identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier Two civilians and a army soldier were also injured in the gunfight, all of them are stated to be stable.

Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Batpora.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.(GNS)
