Srinagar, Sept 06 : Additional director general of police Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar on Tuesday said that the militants killed in Anantnag encounter were involved in killing of a TA soldier and two civilians last year.

Kashmir zone police, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), while quoting ADGP informed that the slain militants were affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit.

He said that the duo identified as Danish Bhat alias Kokab Duree and Basharat Nabi, were involved in the killing of TA soldier and two civilians in April and May respectively last year.

“Killed #terrorists identified as Danish Bhat @ Kokab Duree & Basharat Nabi, both affiliated with proscribed #terror outfit HM. Both were involved in #killing of one TA personnel Saleem on 9 April 2021 & killing of two civilians on 29 May 2021 in #Jablipora,” police tweeted—(KNO)
