Srinagar, August 12: Suspected militants on Friday shot at and injured a Special Police Officer (SPO) at Kurkadal in Bijbhera area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.

A top Police officer told GNS that militants fired upon a SPO namely Ghulam Qadir inside Dara Shikoh Park KurKadal Bijbehra this afternoon.

He was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment. His status of health condition was not available at the time of this story was being filed.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(GNS)
