Teenager drowns in river Jhelum in Nawakadal, rescue ops on

Srinagar, Aug 10 : A 14-year-old boy drowned in river Jhelum in Nawakadal area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening, officials said here.

Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Momin Ahmad (14) of Dal Hassanyar drowned in river Jhelum while taking a bath.

They said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched by River Police Srinagar to retrieve the body.
