On Eve of Ashura, Processions Going On Peacefully In Baramulla Areas

Baramulla, Aug 9: Muharram processions are going on peacefully on eve of Ashura in several Shia-dominated areas of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports reaching GNS said that police have made elaborate arrangements to facilitate the mourners in the specified areas as to ensure no untoward incident takes place at any place.

SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat accompanied by other middle and lower-rung officials have been escorting mourners since this morning and were seen distributing water and other essentials alongside volunteers among the mourners.(GNS)
