Srinagar, July 30: Police on Saturday identified the newly recruited militant affliated with Jaish-i-Muhammad oufit as a resident of Kupwara, who was killed today during a gunfight in Baramulla.
The killed militant has been identified as Akhtar Hussain Bhat Alias Abid Bhai son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat resident of Trich Kupwara, a top police officer confirmed to GNS.
He was missing since 16th July this year from his residence, the officer added.
Earlier today a gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Wanigam Bala area of Baramulla.
In the gunfight one militant was killed, while as two army troopers and a cop was also injured.(GNS)
