GNS has over the days received calls from aspirants about the ‘undue delay’ vis-à-vis the announcement of results of the posts, for which, they said, mains exam was held on March 23 this year.

Detailing it further, a group of aspirants said that the varsity advertised seven posts of Assistant Registrar and Assistant Controller on October 24, 2019 and after a gap of almost two years, a notification for conduct of preliminary examination was floated on August 13, 2021, and the exams subsequently held on August 26, 2021.

“Provisional merit list was publicized on December 1, 2021 and the mains examination after being scheduled for January 6, 2022 was postponed due to inclement weather conditions. After much delay, the exam was held on March 23, 2022”, they said.

“Despite an elapse of almost 82 days, the authorities are however yet to announce the final results for which 175 candidates appeared then”, they said adding as per the varsity statutes, the posts are to be filled within two years of advertisement.

In a bid to alleviate the anguish of aspirants, GNS talked to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Neelofar Khan who assured that results for the posts will be announced in a couple of days. (GNS)
