Traffic Police City Jammu launched special drive against non-fixation of HSRP’s

Jammu, June 11 : On the directions of IGP Traffic J&K, Vikramjit Singh and DIG Traffic Jammu Vivek Gupta, Traffic police city Jammu launched a week-long drive against non-fixation of HSRP number plates.

Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP traffic city Jammu along with the concerned Traffic Supervisory Officers had launched a special drive against the traffic violators for non-fixation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) in city Jammu.

During special drive, number of violators for non-fixation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) had been penalized.

SSP had stressed upon the enforcement officers of traffic city Jammu to impose special and random traffic nakas in their respective areas and take stringent action under the provisions of new amended MV Act against the traffic violators.

Sh RajPal Singh, Addl. SP traffic city Jammu, said that it is mandatory for vehicles to have high security registration plate (HSRP).

SSP Traffic especially focused on the challaning officers to ensure proper discipline, accountability and transparency in the traffic management system and also urged the general public for installation of HSRPs (High Security Registration Plates) in their respective vehicles through concerned RTOs/ARTOs as per the standing directions of Govt. of J&K (UT), failing which strict action under MV Act against the vehicle owners, who use vehicles without number plates will be taken being a huge security risk.
