Ganderbal, Apr 16 : A residential house was completely damaged in a blaze at Kujjar area of Ganderbal in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Locals told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a massive fire broke out from a residential house belonging to Nazir Ahmad Bhat, son of Gulam Ahmad Bhat late last night.
“Firefighters and locals doused the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to nearby localities, witnesses said, adding that the residential house suffered huge damage,” they said.
Locals said that the property worth lakhs of rupees got damaged in the blaze while the cause of fire was probably short circuit.
They urged the administration to provide compensation to downtrodden family at the earliest.
Meanwhile, police has taken cognizance of the incident and has started investigation into the matter—(KNO)
