Shooting stones hinder traffic movement on Jmu—Sgr highway

Srinagar, Mar 05 : The 270-kilometre Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed for traffic due to shooting stones at Panthyal area of Ramban district on highway, traffic officials said.

“Jammu—Srinagar National Highway is closed for vehicular movement due shooting stones at Panthyal area of Ramban” traffic official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)

“Road clearance agencies have pressed men and machinery and efforts are on to make the highway traffic worthy” he said.

“Due to heavy shooting stone a steel tunnel suffered damage on National highway ” official said.

“Intending travellers are advised not to undertake the journey without contacting the traffic control room in Srinagar and Jammu to verify the latest status of the highway”, he added—(KNO
