Srinagar, Mar 04 : In a very positive sign, for the first time in the last two years, not a single sample was tested positive for Covid-19 at GMC Srinagar on Friday.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that all samples which were tested on Friday have been tested negative and it has happened for the first time in two years.

He said that the department of microbiology reports no positive status for the first time in the last two years on Friday.

He said that 1651 samples were tested in the last 24 hours at GMC Srinagar and all of them have been found negative.

It is pertinent to mention here that active cases which were around 48,000 during peak third wave have reduced to below 500 in J&K.

Moreover, the recovery rate has also increased from 87 percent to around 99 percent in J&K—(KNO)
