Traffic Police City Jammu to crack down on Stunt bikers and Modified bike silencers

Jammu, Feb 25 (KR) : Traffic police city Jammu have launched a special drive to curb increasing nuisance of bike stunts, modifying and over speeding on outskirts roads of Jammu city.

While undertaking the special drive, Neeraj Paddyar DySP Traffic City along with Inspr Kapil Manhas DTI Nagrota seized a Stunt bike at near IIT Nagrota and initiated due legal action in the matter.

Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP traffic police city Jammu informed that over few weeks the complaints were pouring in regarding increasing nuisance of bike stunt and bike racing while over speeding and endangering life of commuters.

As part of special measures, Traffic police deputed teams in different locations of city Jammu.

The teams have challaned number of bikes at Bikram Chowk, Narwal, Nagrota Talab Tillo, Satwari, Bus stand and other locations for flouting traffic rules and regulations.

The drive would be continued in days to come and traffic police are initiating strict action in each such case.

Dr Koshal Sharma SSP appealed parents for discouraging their wards from over speeding, modification and bike stunts while risking own life and also endangering life of commuters on roads. He also added that the parents should be prosecuted in case of minors indulging in such activities. (Kashmir Rays)
