Ganderbal, Feb 15 : A 54-year-old woman was injured after she was attacked by a leopard in Wakura area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday evening.

Locals told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a leopard attacked an elderly women Asha, wife of Bashir Ahmad of Wakura village, resulting in injuries to her.

Soon after the incident he was soon rushed to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment where doctors referred her to SMHS hospital for advanced treatment.

Wildlife Ranger Feroz Nazir told KNO that they have launched search after people spotted a leopard roaming.

“A team has been rushed to the area that will take all the measures for necessary intervention,” he said—(KNO)
