Srinagar, Feb 08 : With an overall pass percentage of 75 percent, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Tuesday declared the results of annual regular examinations of 12th standard of Kashmir division.

The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has learnt that the girl students have yet again outshined boys.

“Girls registered a total pass percentage of 78 percent while boys registered only 72 percent,” BOSE said.

BOSE also said that a total of 72,180 students were enrolled for the exams and 54,087 were declared passed.

According to BOSE, at least 23,573 students bagged the distinction in the annual regular exams of 12th standard, 20,717 students got first division, 9277 secured second division and 509 passed the exams with third division.

The figures also reveal that in the exams, at least 11 students were having disputed eligibility, 47 students were absent, 09 students were disqualified and an examination was cancelled of 26 students.

The students were given a syllabi relaxation of 40 percent following the closure of schools in view of COVID-19 outbreak—(KNO)
