Srinagar, Jan 26 : Internet services on mobile phones were restored after remaining suspended for better half of the Tuesday in Kashmir on Wednesday.
According to officials, the mobile internet services were snapped as a precautionary measure for ensuring smooth passage of January 26 official celebrations.
While the calling service on mobile phones remained unaffected, the authorities suspended internet service this morning. The services were restored later in the afternoon, they said.
Suspension of mobile phone and internet services on January 26 and August 15 have been part of the security drill in the Valley for nearly two decades. Meanwhile normal life was affected across Kashmir amid tightened security arrangements. (GNS)
